Description
Illustrated guide produced to easily identify trees present in the woods of sandbanks, directed to both researchers and those who wish to recognize the species of trees, preserve them, admire them or know a bit more about the Brazilian flora. It contains 111 species belonging to 41 different families. For all species pictures of the trees or branche, external and internal hulls, the sides of leaves, the inflorescences or flowers and fruit are presented. The search that generated the botanical material contained in the guide was held at Ilha do Cardoso, located in the South coast of São Paulo. However, this guide has far greater and richer since the studied species are widely distributed in the State of São Paulo and neighboring States. The original work is the result of biologist Daniela Sampaio’s Master thesis , first book and photographs author. The study is part of the theme project:”Diversity, dynamics and conservation in forests of São Paulo State: 40 hectares of permanent plots”, sponsored by the Research Support Foundation of the State of São Paulo – FAPESP.
